Initial Analysis

MeRT is tailored exactly for each patient based on the results of the Initial Analysis to ensure the best possible results from Treatment.

The incredible results from MeRT start with sophisticated scans and testing.

Our process begins with an in-depth assessment of your unique brain function. This essential step lays the groundwork for our precise, targeted treatment strategies.

We use a diagnostic tool known as the quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG) to evaluate your brain’s performance and identify any irregularities. This, combined with an electrocardiogram (EKG) to measure heart rate and assess brain-heart coherence, provides a comprehensive insight into the functioning of your brain.

Our dedicated team of medical and scientific experts meticulously scrutinizes any areas of the brain showing signs of abnormality. This thorough analysis forms the basis for crafting a customized treatment protocol, tailored to address your specific condition.

Each patient’s qEEG is inherently unique. It reflects the distinctive nature of their brain activity, akin to a fingerprint.

This precise and personalized approach to treatment makes the MeRT protocol a groundbreaking innovation.

About the qEEG

The qEEG, also known as a brain map, is a non-invasive, painless, and entirely safe diagnostic tool. During the procedure, our skilled technician will gently place a rubber cap on your head and affix electrodes. The test records brainwave frequencies, enabling us to pinpoint the areas in your brain that exhibit distinct frequency variations.

The qEEG does not transmit electrical current or radiation into the brain. This sets it apart from other diagnostic tests, such as CT scans or MRIs. Instead, it only captures the information emanating from your brain with no form of current passing through it.

Through this diagnostic tool, we can discern rhythm irregularities that correspond to non-optimal neurological conditions. With this information, we can then tailor our treatment to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

EEGs (electrical pictures of the brain) can tell us when there’s abnormalities in neural networks. …We can look at these signals and find areas that are abnormal, [then we] use this FDA cleared technology, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, to navigate to the area that’s not working properly and try to stimulate it and remind it that it wants to fire at a certain frequency and a certain rate.”

The Consultation

Upon receiving your test results, our team will thoroughly assess and interpret them to establish a personalized treatment protocol tailored to your specific needs. Following this evaluation, you will engage in a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Paiman to review your results and discuss the corresponding treatment plan.

During this consultation, Dr. Paiman will address questions you might have. She’ll also provide a comprehensive overview of what you can expect throughout your treatment journey.

To ensure that we’re on the right track and delivering the best care possible, we use the initial qEEG data as a baseline reference point. As your treatment progresses, we will continue to monitor your development at regular intervals, typically every two weeks. This monitoring lets us closely track and adjust your treatment plan as needed.

If, after speaking with her, you are interested in further exploring whether you or your loved one could benefit from MeRT, the next step would be to schedule an EEG and a consultation with our doctor.

With the EEG and testing done, the doctor can show you what is happening neurologically and identify potential causes of the issues. We can then determine if there are benefits to be gained from MeRT treatment, and you can decide whether to move forward.
